Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is an ambitious unitary authority in the North East of England. We have big plans to improve the Borough’s six towns whilst making a real positive difference to our residents’ lives, supporting our businesses, attracting inward investment and welcoming visitors. Our population of 200,000 is growing, business is booming and our residents tell us they are happy to live here.
But we also face important challenges. We have affluent areas alongside areas of deprivation. We’re not afraid to work hard and make brave decisions to tackle this inequality and improve the lives of residents of all ages and help the Borough grow.
Our new Chief Executive, Elected Members and officers are working together to further develop our vision and plans for the future. This is where you come in!
We are delighted to be recruiting for a new and exciting role of Transformation and Change Programme Manager to support our ambitious transformation plans and ensure our services are able to meet future challenges.
In this role you will:
- Provide high level project leadership in the design, implementation and delivery of the Council’s transformation programme on behalf of the Corporate Management Team.
- Fast-track our transformation programme and oversee improvements across a broad range of Council services, whilst also delivering efficiencies.
- Present evidenced based plans which define how we will measure and realise the benefits from change projects.
- Be a role model for our transformative culture, promote collaboration and drive services to focus on process improvement and customer engagement.
- Work closely with the Senior Management Team to identify and implement opportunities for rapid change, sustained improvement and shape future policy.
At Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, we offer a competitive salary, generous annual leave of up to 32 days, learning and development opportunities, local government pension with the option to add extra contributions and access to a number of other benefits like a car lease scheme, discounts at high street and online retailers, an employee assistance programme and physiotherapy services.
And that’s not all – you can also work flexibly where you can work part of your week at home.
