OVERVIEW:

The Program Manager in Sportradar is responsible for implementing best program management practices to enable the successful delivery of a broad range of Product related projects and programs, internally and external customer facing, to ensure they are delivered on time, to requirement, on budget and delivering the forecasted revenues.

Reporting to the Programme Management Lead for Competition Management & Digital Engagement, this role is responsible for the overall Delivery management function for the Competition Management and Digital Engagement (CMDE), a new team within Sportradar working to delivery new insights using modern data science techniques. The Program Manager is responsible for implementing best program and delivery management practice to enable the successful delivery of measurable business outcomes in an incremental manner, to enable the successful delivery of a broad range of Product related projects and programs for internal and external customers, to ensure they are delivered on time, to requirement, on budget and delivering the forecasted revenues.

Through this, the successful candidate will lead in executing improvements in business agility and will influence and evangelize the continuous improvement mindset and agile at scale.

A key focus will be ensuring the coordination of complex programs across teams (Tribes) and functional groups, whilst keeping key stakeholders fully up-to-date on status (including facilitating impediment resolution and managing risks).

THE CHALLENGE:


  • Ensure the successful implementation of the Program Delivery Framework, responsibilities, services, and deliverables in an agile delivery context.
  • Provide and maintain a capacity planning and resource tracking service across programs and oversee recruitment of suitably high calibre delivery and Program resources to fill the growing needs to the Tribe and Business.
  • Help shape and evolve the processes and principles to improve the consistency and effectiveness of program and engineering delivery execution, improving predictability, alignment and visibility.
  • Work with the vertical leads to evolve and embed program control and governance that is consistent with company-wide practices.
  • Provide planning, milestone management, scope management, resource forecasting.
  • Implement governance and consistent prioritization process across programs.
  • Responsible for cross-tribe dependencies to ensure they are managed effectively.
  • Ensure transparent and regular reporting to the key stakeholders to ensure program status is clearly understood and timely decisions can be taken.
  • Responsible for ensuring the team compiles financial ensuring that budgets are maintained.
  • Responsible for end-to-end implementation and tracking of KPIs for engineering and delivery so that initiatives are kept on track and within quality criteria.
  • Ensure appropriate new key program benefits are identified and quantified where possible; and in conjunction with the Financial Controller, prepare and present cost-benefit analyses to support business case development for the implementation of key Programs.
  • Oversee the coordination of Product launches with Product Owners, Support, Marketing, Sales and Legal teams across the business.
  • Coordinate key delivery closure retrospectives to distil good practice and ensure lessons learned are logged.
  • Ensure efficient change control methods and processes are in place.


YOUR PROFILE:

  • Bachelor's degree Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience in project or program management.
  • Hands on experience in Agile Software development (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
  • Experience delivering tech programs or products from inception to delivery.
