Basic Functions

MAPMG is seeking a Quality Data Program Manager to provide leadership, oversight, and strategy to programs supporting Kaiser Permanente’s clinician coding and quality activities. The goal of this position is to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the delivery of high quality care within our integrated care system. To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must reside in Washington DC, Maryland, or Virginia or be willing to relocate. This position offer a hybrid work arrangement that is primarily remote with the ability to go into the office on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and strategic planning to improve clinical coding by collaborating with clinical, technical, analytical, and operational experts.
  • Communicate program priorities and opportunities effectively and efficiently to stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities and develop strategies to accurately reflect care delivery.
  • Effectively garner support by communicating and coordinating strategies to various audiences.
  • Integrate data and technical solutions into project development and maximize the use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) for accurate and appropriate coding.
  • Coordinate coding outreach initiatives to clinicians through letters, phone calls, and through use of the EMR, including secure messaging, and chart review.
  • Promote innovative practices, within company ethical and legal guidelines, using established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient records, information, and all departmental activities involving patient information.
  • Through the use of Kaiser systems, specifically KPHC, research plans for data gathering and analysis; significantly participate in interpreting analyses and developing action plans.
  • Support management of projects in the DCSM Quality department

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in health-related field and/or Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in a matrixed organization preferred. Clinical and/or healthcare experience preferred.
  • 5 years of experience managing complex projects preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in strategic and communication planning preferred.
  • Strong leadership, strategic, organizational, and communication skills required.
  • Excellent computer skills required (Microsoft Office suite)
  • A minimum of two years of project support or coordination experience required.
  • Electronic Medical Record experience preferred.
