Job Description:
Reporting to the Programs Manager – Entertainment, the Programs Assistant – Entertainment will be primarily responsible for:

General Duties

  • Preparation of entertainment contracts, cheque requisitions, purchase requisitions and work orders
  • Support the event planning process
  • Assist with all internal and external correspondence and other administration as required
  • Take care of the artist logistics/requirements (i.e. hotel, transport, catering)
  • Handle all calls and inquiries pertaining to the Entertainment programs
  • Assist with the move-in and move-out of programs
  • Liaise with various CNE departments and third party suppliers
  • Familiarize themselves with the CNE policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Administrative Assistant/Supervisor
  • Assist with the hiring, orientation and scheduling of entertainment program staff
  • Supervise the entertainment crew/runners ensuring customer service ideals are met and maintained
  • Responsible for the scheduling and orientation of all entertainment staff
Required Skills:
  • Proven organization and time management skills with attention to detail
Posses a Valid G2 license
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work up to and including Labour Day Monday as a minimum
  • Flexibility to work days or evenings during the event, as required
