Job Description:
Reporting to the Programs Manager – Entertainment, the Programs Assistant – Entertainment will be primarily responsible for:
General Duties
- Preparation of entertainment contracts, cheque requisitions, purchase requisitions and work orders
- Support the event planning process
- Assist with all internal and external correspondence and other administration as required
- Take care of the artist logistics/requirements (i.e. hotel, transport, catering)
- Handle all calls and inquiries pertaining to the Entertainment programs
- Assist with the move-in and move-out of programs
- Liaise with various CNE departments and third party suppliers
- Familiarize themselves with the CNE policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Assist with the hiring, orientation and scheduling of entertainment program staff
- Supervise the entertainment crew/runners ensuring customer service ideals are met and maintained
- Responsible for the scheduling and orientation of all entertainment staff
- Proven organization and time management skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work up to and including Labour Day Monday as a minimum
- Flexibility to work days or evenings during the event, as required
