The Leeds School of Arts (LSA) offers a broad portfolio from undergraduate to PhD level. We explore research, interdisciplinary work and creative practice to tackle current Global challenges. Our aim is to promote the value of culture and the arts in a framework of equality, diversity and inclusion.
We are now seeking to enhance our Professoriate with three new appointments across the School. Working with the School’s Dean, Directors of Research and Heads of Subject, the successful candidates will provide research leadership in particular areas of expertise.
We are looking for:
Film (practitioners)
Performing Arts (including Acting)
Fine Art (with a knowledge of the online commercialisation of art & NFTs)
Design (including Graphic Design, Illustration or Product Design - with industry experience)
Immersive Technologies (Including Games, Virtual/Augmented Realities, or Artificial Intelligence)
We’re particularly interested in candidates with a proven track record of generating external income or client fees and the ability to work collaboratively, to conduct interdisciplinary research across Schools and external HE institutions/partners.
You will have a significant and sustained track record of high-quality research (either through publication or practice as research) which meet international standards of excellence. You will also have experience of leading and mentoring staff in relation to research funding, research collaborations, research impact generation and outputs/or equivalent experience of leadership, project management and mentoring within industry.
You will contribute to the development and direction of research in the School. You will be able to shape our research culture and build on interdisciplinary modes of practice. You should have experience of successful supervision and graduation of doctoral students and delivering teaching at all levels or equivalent experience in industry that includes a proven track record of working with a range of clients.
