The Department of Psychology (www.psych.sc.edu) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of developmental psychology with expertise in developmental cognitive neuroscience and neurodevelopment. This position is part of an exciting department and university-wide initiative to enhance existing expertise in cognitive neurodevelopment and neurodevelopmental disorders (http://artsandsciences.sc.edu/scand/).
The successful candidates should have a Ph.D. or an M.D. and will have completed post-doctoral training in a relevant area of developmental psychology and/or cognitive neuroscience and atypical neurodevelopment.
The successful candidate will also be expected to teach courses appropriate to their area of expertise at the undergraduate and graduate levels and contribute to departmental and university service. The University has a highly interactive neuroscience community that encourages collaborations, and there are existing strengths in big data analytics, molecular mechanisms of neurodevelopment, and early detection of autism and other developmental disorders.
