FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Department of Nursing at Kingsborough Community College invites applications for a tenure track position at Assistant Professor level. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in Nursing (Fundamental, Medical-Surgical, Psychiatric and Maternal-Child Nursing). Student advisement, committee participation and scholarly activity are required.
Performs teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.
D.N.P., strongly preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Prior teaching experience in an academic setting recommended; knowledge of and commitment to Associate Degree Nursing Education and curriculum development. Licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
COMPENSATION
$75,465 - $86,645
Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
