Professional Security Services Coordinator
Salary: Circa £25,000 per annum negotiable depending on experience
Contract: Permanent
Location: Hybrid - flexibility to work from home or at any of our main hubs (London, Bristol, Manchester and Harwell)

About the role:
The professional security services team protects UK Education and Research against a wide range of cyber security threats supporting our members and customers in improving their digital resilience.

In this exciting role your primary responsibility will be to assist in the co-ordination of a range of cyber security services including Penetration Testing and consultancy.

We are looking for someone who has experience of working in a customer service environment, ideally with a good working knowledge of a ticket system or service helpdesk.

You’ll also be a confident communicator who can explain technical concepts clearly and concisely. You’ll have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a love of learning, and a commitment to continually developing yourself. We will also be looking for a genuine curiosity in technology and specifically Cyber Security.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Support the security services processes designed to enable successful service delivery
  • Coordinate and attend meetings and scoping calls (internal and external) with members and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure the team can run services effectively and support this process with strong attention to detail
  • Respond to member enquiries in a timely and professional manner in accordance with SLAs
  • Maintain website and Jisc portal content

Key Skills and Experience:
  • Experience of working in a customer service environment
  • Recent experience of project and/or service support
  • A passion for cyber security and a keen interest in IT
  • Good organisational, communication, presentational and interpersonal skills – with the capability to communicate concisely and effectively
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
