JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking a Production Operative on a permanent basis to work Monday to Thursday on the day shift pattern in Littleport.
The Production Department deals with extrusion, laying-up, braiding and any other processes that are required for the manufacture of sub-sea cables globally. JDR invests in state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, technology and people to deliver these world-class subsea products, we want you to be part of it!
With experience of a production environment ideally with experience of operating machinery your main duties will consist of:
- Operating various machines in a safe and productive manner ensuring Think Safety is maintained at all times. Ensuring that work is manufactured to the correct quality as per the manufacturing specification and delivered on time as per production schedule.
- Maintaining machine and working environment cleanliness and tidiness in accordance to Health and Safety requirements and/or policies.
- Completing all paperwork regarding each job ensuring accuracy against client and manufacturing requirements.
- Continuous Improvement through 5S and Standard Work activities in order to reduce waste and duplication to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for candidates who have ideally had previous experience in a manufacturing environment, together with experience of operating machinery. You should be a good team player and be focused on the importance of Health and Safety in the workplace. Please note that full training will be provided for the successful candidate.
