We are currently looking for a Control Room Operator to join our friendly team at Aberthaw Cement Plant in Barry.

Role Responsibility
In the role of Control Room Operator you will be responsible for:
Control all major process lines within the cement manufacturing operation
Monitor continuously, all plant process lines using all available tools
Control product quality at all stages of the cement manufacturing process
Coordinate plant resources to troubleshoot, inspect, and maintain plant equipment as required
Communicate effectively with all levels of the plant organization in both verbal and written format.
The Ideal Candidate
For the role of Control Room Operator we would welcome applications from interested employees who are already in a CRO role or, feel that they would like to develop their knowledge and skills in this area. This role is part of a shift working team.
The training and assessment programme to become a Control Room Operator will combine on-the-job, in-house and external courses. Following the training programme the successful candidate will be expected to be proficient in all CCR operations and achieve Level 3 certification.
The ideal candidate will also have experience of:
- Health and safety qualification
- Good knowledge of cement manufacturing process
- An understanding and interest of kiln burning and milling techniques
- Knowledge and understanding of environmental and quality standards associated with the cement manufacturing process.
