Role Summary
The Production Technician role is an excellent opportunity to not only operate and monitor the plant but to employ problem-solving and root-cause techniques to tackle production issues. Being responsible for maintaining production equipment the successful applicant can also expect to work towards common goals when participating in team-based activities.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor the plant in accordance with company procedures and SHE standards, to ensure safe, efficient production to meet the business quality and volume requirements.
- Contribute to team-based work identifying and resolving production issues. Further communicating deficiencies to shift managers and implementing solutions via site standards.
- Prepare/decontaminate equipment for maintenance and carry out maintenance work within own competence. Use the defect reporting system for maintenance work outside your own competency or availability.
- Be responsible for housekeeping, in addition, to accurately and timely performing shift handovers.

Qualifications
- GCSE mathematics and science are desirable as a minimum qualification.
- Experience working in similar/ shift pattern roles is an advantage.
- Knowledgeable in continuous improvement techniques.
