Job description
Astrodyne TDI is looking for a Production Technician for EMI Filters who is hands-on, works well in a team environment along with being an excellent team player with a positive attitude. The Production Tech will work with the production supervisor on different tasks: assembling, performing testing, failure analysis and troubleshooting of EMI filters.
Job Responsibilities:
- Read and decipher schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
- Uses hand and power tools to assemble parts.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in circuitry and other system structures.
- Collaborate with engineers and other professionals on technical tasks.
- Conducts quality checks and document actions by completing quality forms.
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, assemblies, tools, and materials.
- Positions parts and assemblies on PCB by using templates or reading measurements, and ability to use soldering iron.
- Verifies specifications by testing completed components.
- Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor chain to obtain additional resources.
- Keep equipment operational by completing preventative maintenance.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures and regulations.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a H.S. diploma/GED is required. An Associate’s degree in Electronic Technology or similar discipline, with some hands on experience working on Electronics is a preferred.
Must have a safety mindset and a focus on quality control. The candidate must have dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often very small. In addition, must be able to distinguish between different colors and must be able to work with electronic test equipment (Oscilloscope, DMM, etc.). The candidate should also have good communication skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
