Job Summary:
Alcority, a global professional services firm, is looking for an experienced Production Support Manager for our data and data integration platforms. The Production Support Manager will build and lead a team of Data Engineering Production Support professionals that span multiple countries and time zones. As a strategic partner to a number of investments and operating companies around the world, Alcority is responsible for delivering technology solutions that help our partners create a competitive advantage. The candidate will be responsible for driving the maturity of our production support team, processes, and tools to be commensurate with the increasing reliance of our customers on the flawless operations of our rapidly growing data eco system. The ideal candidate will have strong managerial skills, technical capabilities in cloud based and Informatica SaaS technologies, including Informatica Cloud products and Azure Data Factory. He/she will have a passion for data with a keen interest to not only understand the technical components, but also understand the business impact of technical solutions that are provided.
The Production Support Manager, reporting to the Data Solutions Architect, will be responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of our data pipelines and supporting applications. The candidate must be able to handle pressure, manage a team, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the operations of the Data Production Environment, ensuring full monitoring, support, alert, and communication to customers on Prod Statuses
  • Act as a hands-on leader that builds, manages, coaches/mentors a team of Data Engineering/Analytics Production Support professionals that will be located in multiple locations and time zones.
  • Develop resource plans to determine the right mix of internal and external resources; engage and manage 3rd party consultants/contractors as needed.
  • Develop and maintain operational processes and procedures and ensure appropriate documentation.
  • Monitor and maintain the health of our data pipelines and supporting applications in production, including Azure-based systems, Informatica Data Management Cloud, and Informatica Cloud products such as Cloud Data Integration (CDI), Cloud Application Integration (CAI)
  • Participate in incident response activities and communicate with stakeholders to provide timely updates and resolutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data ingestion, processing, and delivery in Informatica Cloud and Azure Data Factory
  • Automate monitoring and alerting and ensure proactively identification of issues before they become problems, utilizing existing software stack (Informatica Data Management Cloud or Azure) for alerting and logging as well as additional tools as necessary.
  • Work with developers, and stakeholders to identify and prioritize enhancements to the existing data pipelines and applications.
  • Assess any enhancements and changes to the data production environment regarding risk and supportability and ensure proper testing, transitioning to the production environment, and knowledge transfer the support team.
  • Experience with Cloud MDM and Cloud Data Quality is a plus.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of production issues.
  • Should be technically hands on and adapt to changing technology landscapes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in production support, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong technical skills in cloud based and Informatica SaaS technologies, such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure Event Hubs, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Functions, Informatica Cloud products such as Cloud Data Integration (CDI), Cloud Application Integration (CAI), and MDM, Snowflake, Databricks, and Apache Kafka
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, Splunk, Datadog, OpsGenie or PagerDuty
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
