Job description
Creative Sample Studio, a design, sample and production studio working with high end fashion brands, is seeking a highly organized and skilled Production/Studio Manager to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversees the production process and coordinates all activities to ensure enough resources on hand. Plan schedules to ensure our team meets required deadlines.
- Keeping track of fabric consumptions for each style as we develop clients' collections.
- Inputting fabric information and consumptions into Tech Packs of each item.
- Being responsible for ordering sampling and production fabric and organizing delivery.
- Ensures to pursue the right works, quality, and maintenance standards.
- Ensures that materials are organized at each stage of processing.
- Being the main point of contact with clients and suppliers booking in sampling and production dates, arranging and attending meetings and fittings.
- Contacting clients in order to clarify details of order or work out any issues during production.
- Organize production drop offs/ pickups.
- Overseeing quality control on all made pieces and packing.
- Ensuring production is completed to a deadline.
- Creating action plans for the production team, to ensure everyone has an equal part in production and the combined effort will be the most effective way to complete the job.
- Taking notes, garments reference, measurement charts from client to make sure team has all materials to start working on a project.
- Sourcing all materials that are necessary for the production.
- Developing Textile and garment samples development in house for each client.
- Assisting Directors directly with a collection and project development of each client.
- Sourcing all materials that are necessary for the production.
- Management of sewing machines, iron systems and sewing room maintenance.
- Preparing all technical information for production, tech packs, technical drawings, garment descriptions, fully noted toiles for each style.
- Keeping general management of the studio in an organized and tidy fashion, packing down each day safely making sure the studio is fully. locked up with all machinery and heaters fully switched off.
Qualities we are looking for:
- -min 5 years of experience in the same position.
- -strong in problem-solving.
- -responsible.
- -positive, enthusiastic and passionate about the apparel industry.
- -knowledge and understanding of fabrics, construction and print techniques.
- -having a good understanding of timelines is a must.
- -understanding the process of making garments from start to finish.
