Production & Stores operatives Cookstown, Northern Ireland
Job description
The ideal candidate will have experience using a tape measure and within a manual work background. They will have a good work ethic and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The candidate will need to be able to work overtime as and when required, sometimes at short notice.
1. General Duties
a) Setup the production equipment and supplies before executing the job orders.
b) Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
c) Ensure that equipment is maintained in good and safe working condition.
d) Inspect equipment to identify any replacements, malfunctions and repairs.
e) Perform regular equipment maintenance to ensure production capacity and quality.
f) Provide assistance to junior operators in their assigned responsibilities.
g) Repair and clean the equipment when needed.
h) Work under the guidance of Supervisor to perform and complete the assigned duties in timely manner.
i) Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements.
j) Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.
k) Contribute to waste management programs.
l) Identify and report unsafe operations to Supervisor immediately.
m) Maintain the work area clean, safe and organised.
2. Health and Safety
a) Follow health and safety procedures set out in your contract of employment
b) The Health and Safety at Work Act requires each employee to “take reasonable care for the Health & Safety of himself and of other persons who may be affected by their acts and omissions” and cooperate with management to enable management to carry out their responsibilities of the Act. Employees have responsibility with the Company for Health and Safety at Work.
