Production Runner, Casual Work

And the legendary Sharon Osbourne is just one of the famous faces discussing the day’s issues on The Talk. Drawing together world-class talent across News UK, TalkTV broadcasts from state-of-the-art studios at The News Building in London Bridge and available live or on-demand, on linear and connected TV and on any personal device. TalkTV broadcasts 24/7 on Sky Channel 526, Virgin Media Channel 627, Freeview Channel 237 and Freesat Channel 217, as well as via connected TV services, smart devices, the TalkTV app and at talk.tv.
Your Role: You will be part of a production and studio team working across prime time programming, live and pre recorded on a daily basis. You will be responsible for looking after studio guests, ensuring the studios are in order and prepped ahead of each show and be a point of contact between the studio crew, production and editorial teams.
Day to day:
Assisting production with populating Call Sheets daily
Managing passes for the building (Retainer/Guest/Studio)
Booking travel & Couriers
Assisting management teams with expenses
Printing scripts / running orders / schedules and keeping track of these
Booking meeting rooms
Assisting with booking in screen tests when required
Assisting Production with logging and tracking invoices
Handling release forms for all contributors and guests in the studio
Liaising with Facilities/Security/Loading Bay regarding deliveries
Keeping the gallery & studio tidy at all times
Sourcing props / furniture for new shows
Looking after guests, ensuring they are happy, prepared for the show and standing by ready for when needed
Making sure all crew are on comms and fetching headsets / battery packs for them
Bringing presenters and contributors from dressing rooms on set and keeping to time to ensure they are in the right place at the correct time
Moving and setting up sets / props, this can sometimes need to be a fast turn around in the studio so you need to ensure the equipment is organised and you have a group of people to help in some cases to ensure a speedy, yet safe move to make the best use of studio time
What we’re looking for from you:
Experience of working in a studio environment, live show experience is preferred. The ability to work to fast turnarounds and in high pressure situations whilst keeping calm and taking instructions.
You will be organised, solution focused, adaptable and confident in working with a large team
Understanding of a studio environment and adapting to last minute changes and issues
Able to work unsociable hours based around the live programming schedule
Keen interest in production as well as knowledge of studio roles
