Production & Quality Control Operators–
Quartztec Europe, based in East Kilbride, Scotland are a manufacturer of fabricated quartz glass products and thermocouples for the Semiconductor Industry.
The company has been in operation for over 35 years and is a key supplier into the lucrative Semiconductor Industry. The Quartzware and Thermocouples we manufacture are used in equipment to produce silicon chips. From our facility in East Kilbride we ship product to most parts of the World.
Due to continued expansion we are looking to recruit production & quality control operators to fill various positions we have on site
The positions are permanent roles.
Responsibilities / Duties
We have positions in our production and quality control departments.
You will be punctual and will have a strong work ethic and be highly diligent and be focused on providing high quality products and meeting production targets.
The company is focused on Continuous Improvement /Lean manufacture therefore we are looking for someone who is forward thinking and able to suggest improvement ideas.
Experience / skills required
· Previous experience in a production environment process would be beneficial
. Experience within a machine shop or precision engineering facility, beneficial
· Good hand- eye coordination and an attention to detail
. Being able to read and interpret engineering drawings would be beneficial
· Previous experience using basic hand tools incl soldering would be beneficial
· An understanding of the importance of quality and providing exceptional customer service
· Understanding the important of Health & Safety within the work place is important
· Good team player and communicator but also the ability to work from own initiative.
· Good IT skills, with an understanding of MS Office tools.
Package
· 5 day and also 4 day working week available, department dependent.
Both based on a 37.5 hr working week
