Production Operative

£11.85 p/h | Nights 6pm till 6am | Blue Shift alternating weeks:

Thursday to Sunday and then, Thursday to Saturday

What does a Production Operative do?

An empty box in the warehouse is no good to anyone! As a Production Operative you

• Play the vital warehouse role of picking and packing a wide range of products into our red box's.
• The box will stop in front of you, the bar code will be scanned and lights will go off to tell you which product to pick. A bit like an arcade game (sort of...)
• With different stations where we need team members, each shift can see your role change - from working with labels, ice and more! This is an opportunity to become multi-skilled.
• The role is fast paced and means working with personal and team picking targets on every shift.

Who is right for this role?

The ideal person will have:

• knowledge of warehouse fulfilment and the importance of targets in this environment - a quick learner.
• You'll be a superstar team-worker, in order to ensure our customers receive the perfect order - on time!
• The ability to follow procedures and Health & Safety guides is vital.
• It is a cold environment (it's chilly - around 3 degrees) and involves standing to work and moving around the large warehouse - quite physical work.
• Our pick stations are also across platforms which can mean working at height.
• We provide PPE such as a warm coat and safety boots and full training is given.
