What does a Production Operative do?
An empty box in the warehouse is no good to anyone! As a Production Operative you are playing the vital warehouse role of picking and packing a wide range of products into our red box's. The box will stop in front of you, the bar code will be scanned and lights will go off to tell you which product to pick. A bit like an arcade game (sort of...) There's not just this; with different roles in different areas of the warehouse, each shift can see your role change - from working with labels, ice and more! It's fast paced and means working with targets.
Who is right for this role?
The ideal person will have knowledge of warehouse fulfilment and the importance of targets in this environment. You'll be a superstar team-worker, in order to ensure our customers receive the perfect order - on time! The ability to follow procedures and Health & Safety guides is vital. It is a cold environment (it's chilly - around 3 degrees) and involves standing to work and moving around the large warehouse. We provide PPE such as a warm coat and safety boots and full training is given.
