Production Operative - Paint & Test Crewe, England
Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen at our Crewe Manufacturing Facility for a full time (38 hours per week) Production Operative - Painter and Tester to join our team.
Main Purpose of the Role
The Assembly painter & tester will support the Assembly Team Leader in the Testing, Painting and Final Finishing areas to achieve business goals.
Adherence to Safety, Quality, Production & Delivery targets on a daily basis, supporting right first-time quality attitude and process controls (back to basics & travellers). To support and drive process improvements within assembly, paint & Test. Along with daily team meetings (SQPDE), continuous improvement activities to achieve maximum effectiveness in safety, quality, on time delivery and production engagement within pre-determined financial parameters.
Responsibilities and Duties
The successful candidate will have a positive outlook and a can do attitude. Some of the main tasks will include:
- Read technical drawings and build in line with current company build procedures
- Inspections of work to ensure quality of work is to company standard
- Testing pumps inline with company standards as and when required
- Paint and prep in line with company standards as and when required
- Preparing final product for pre delivery inspection
Essential skills:
- Experience of working in an engineering/production facility
- Enjoy working within a team - Team Player
- Consistency in achieving set tasks and multi tasking.
- Adapting to change, willingness to learn
Desirable
- Painting Experience inline with ISO 9001 standard
