Job description

NationwideStaff is currently recruiting on behalf of our reputable client, a rapidly growing parcel delivery company based in London, UK. They are dedicated to providing top-notch delivery services to their clients and are seeking a reliable and motivated Parcel Delivery Driver to join their team. Responsibilities:

Load, unload, and deliver parcels to customers in London and surrounding areas
Plan efficient routes using GPS and other navigation systems
Maintain communication with dispatch and provide regular updates on progress
Ensure proper handling of fragile and sensitive packages
Adhere to traffic and parking regulations while prioritizing safety at all times
Obtain proof of delivery signatures and manage necessary paperwork
Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness of delivery van
Provide outstanding customer service, handling queries and issues professionally
Follow all company policies and procedures, including compliance with local regulations

Requirements:

Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
At least 1 year of experience in a professional driving role
Excellent knowledge of London streets and neighbourhoods
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to lift and carry parcels weighing up to 25 kg
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and safety precautions
