FOOD PRODUCTION OPERATIVE

KEY Responsibilities may include depending on role (training will be provided for all relevant tasks):
o Weighing batches of ingredients for production
o Working in a protein powder packing facility – operating machinery, filling/weighing pouches, sealing and boxing.
o Operating industrial mixers in a production facility
o Operating bar forming machinery
o Operating chocolate machinery
o Operating bar packing machinery
o Packing bars into cases/outer cases on the production line.
o Cleaning production machinery as part of the shift
o Using SAP to process packaging/ingredients in line with production
o Completing daily records
General Responsibilities:
· Adhere to company quality policies and procedures and to ensure the quality, safety and legality of product is maintained
· Monitor and maintain housekeeping standards including implementing a clean as you go policy and ensuring equipment is clean and fit for purpose before and after use
· Complete production paperwork as required
· Assist with other production duties as required
HOURS: Monday – Friday 700am to 1600pm, with 1 hour unpaid breaks (2 x 15 min breaks, 1 x 30 minute break). 40 paid hours per week.
WHAT WE OFFER:
· Starting pay rate - £10.00 to £11.00 per hour DOE with further progression to £11.50+

Who we are looking for:
A reliable, conscientious individual who will take on the role with an intent to continuously improve themselves and make the role more efficient. Good team working skills are necessary. Ability to handle heavy sacks and buckets (up to 20kg) may be required depending on role.
Ability to communicate with the team in English and have basic numeracy skills.
Desirable – anyone who has previous experience in food manufacturing, specific roles will benefit from previous experience including using food production machinery, weighing ingredients for food production, and operating flow packaging machinery in a food/non food production setting.
