Reporting to: First Line Manager (FLM)
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
To undertake a range of production activities as a factory or logistics operative within an HVAC manufacturing environment.
This job description is generic for all production and logistics operatives. The grade is determined by skillset acquired.
The job will involve working an alternating two shift system 06:00am-14:30pm and 14:15pm- 22:45pm.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Qualifications and Experience:
- No formal qualifications required.
Personal Attributes:

PERSON SPECIFICATION/Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge and Skills:
- CNC Machine experience preferred.
- An acceptable level of certification or knowledge to allow the job holder to carry out their relevant tasks
- An understanding of the Health and Safety regulations applicable to the work area
- Literate and numerate in both written and spoken English
- Computer literate or the ability to learn to use business ERP systems as well as Microsoft packages such as Excel and Word
Environmental Requirements:
- Sustained work requiring a continuity of effort, working with light or medium weights. This role involves spending most of the time in a standing position.
MAIN DUTIES:
- Factory or logistics operative that may be asked to work in any part of the factory or logistics areas and carry out any manufacturing activities for which the individual is trained or is capable of doing
- To give and receive training as required
- To positively and proactively ensure the Health and Safety of oneself and all other employees in accordance with company policies and procedures
- To positively and proactively ensure on time manufacture and on time delivery performance in the work area
- To positively and proactively strive to improve productivity (labour efficiency) in the work area
- To work to continuously improve housekeeping and 5S standards
- To work to continuously improve safety standards
- To work continuously to improve material efficiency
- To work continuously to improve product quality and customer service quality
- To constructively and positively support the managers with continuous improvement initiatives
- To work within manual handling guidelines
