Job description
We are recruiting for a Production Assistant/Operative within our thriving CNC department in Huntingdon.
Topper Cases is a bespoke packaging manufacturer specialising in protective cases and foam engineering with prestigious clients in the automotive and metrology industries.
We are looking for new members to add to our existing busy team in a small company where initiative is rewarded. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and reliable with good attention to detail and be able to hit the ground running.
You must be able to work independently as well as collaborating as part of the team to ensure jobs are carried out as efficiently as possible.
Training will be provided for all aspects of the job however experience in using any of the following equipment would be advantageous –
· Bandsaws
· Spray Glue / Laminating
· CNC Machines (Foam & Wood based products)
· Forklift
An understanding of technical drawings is important.
You must be willing to help with other everyday tasks including keeping the factory floor tidy, taking rubbish to the on site skip and putting deliveries away.
An acceptance of working in a dusty/dirty/noisy environment must be considered. Safety wear can be provided and a tour of the work place will be given at interview stage.
· 4 day working week – Monday – Thursday. Start & finish times negotiable. Full time (37.5 hours) or part time considered.
· Overtime available on a voluntary basis.
· Salary DOE
· 3-month probation period
