OPENING FOR CHOCOLATE FACTORY PRODUCTION OPERATIVE
About Ocelot Chocolate
Ocelot Chocolate was launched ten years ago by Ish and Matt Broadbent from their kitchen table in Edinburgh. Over the years Ocelot has grown to represent the artistic and culinary elegance of craft chocolate at its best.
In October 2022 Ocelot and Original Beans joined chocolate forces. Our teams have merged into one international team working in more than a dozen countries and representing as many nationalities.
As a production assistant you will be responsible for performing daily production processes.
You will ensure our recipes are produced to a consistent, high quality standard.
As a member of the Ocelot team, work ethics are crucial to the team’s success ensuring we deliver great chocolate day in day out. You will also continuously look for ways to improve production quality and output alongside the factory manager.

Who are we looking for?
Key responsibilities
- Complete daily chocolate production and packaging schedules - ensuring production goals are met.
- Maintain high production standards - ensure every bar of chocolate that leaves the factory is up to our exacting standards.
- Ensure production areas are clean and safe at all times.
- Complete work-area sanitation.
- Ensure safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times.
- Ensure organic standards are met and recorded on a daily basis.
- Ensure environmental footprint is minimal.
Key Skills
- Ideally some experience in hospitality, food production, FMCG production.
- Ability to deal with high pressure environments - a pragmatic approach to problem solving is key.
- Passion to optimise processes and improve efficiency of production.
- Learn to understand the chemistry of chocolate.
- Understanding of craft chocolate and prior experience within the Food Industry is beneficial.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Team player.
- You are confident, patient, a strong collaborator and communicator.
- Interested in food, and where your food comes from.
- Environmental awareness.
- Be able to use a computer and printer.
- Simple mathematical skills.
- Available to work weekends and overtime (if needed).
