Role & Responsibilities
To handle and supply ingredients and materials to the filling lines.
Organise ingredients and materials etc to the filling machines/ Yogurt Process in accordance with the requisition.
At shift start - audit the area ensuring GMP standards are acceptable and the area has been handed over in an acceptable state. Check all equipment for wear and damage reporting as necessary.
Organise full/ empty and bi-mix vessels to/ from the lifts as required and to/ from the dedicated areas. (Organise empties/ bi-mix to the fruit department as required).
Organise waste to I from the lift as required.
Organise ingredient and material returns to the correct Warehouse ensuring all relevant QA/ return info is attached.
Create MSR's from the local area satellite terminals contacting the Warehouse Operator as necessary. Always be aware of products that are currently stored in the High Bay Warehouse.
Ensure all fork lift trucks (FL T's) are on charge when possible and are always maintained in a clean and operative state with faults reported and action followed up as necessary.
To check equipment e.g. FL T's/ checking equipment is in good working order.
To provide basic problem solving skills and troubleshoot basic issues with T/E, labellers, web stations and pot destackers.
Carry out all duties as directed by your Supervisor/ Manager supporting your team as necessary.
Work as part of a team with responsibility for ensuring Filling Operations volumes are achieved effectively and to the highest quality standard.
Operate Manufacturing machinery in accordance to laid down procedures.
Use all equipment or substances in accordance with training or instruction.
Rectify minor faults and escalate major problems to Engineering Technicians as necessary.
Full adherence to all standard operating procedures, Company standards, Health and Safety procedures, and other policies and procedures including: personal hygiene, the wearing of personal protective equipment.
Health & Safety

Strive to achieve the highest quality product, highlighting any concerns to your Manager.
Maintain hygienic standards of the Filling Operations environment and general housekeeping of your working areas.
Ensure working areas are presentable at all times operating with a clean as you go policy.
Maintain acceptable standards of GMP in all ingredients and material supply/ return spurs and satellite stations.
Skills Knowledge & Experience
Excellent communication skills.
Food hygiene level 1 (handling cereal).
Good mechanical/ troubleshooting skills
A proven mechanical aptitude. Proven machine experience from within a face moving manufacturing environment is desirable.
Chemical training.
A flexible approach; able to adapt to changing daily production plans.
A good listener I communicator.
Able to demonstrate initiative and prioritisation skills.
Effective team worker.
Educated to GCSE level.
Basic food hygiene - level 1 .
Build and maintain positive team working relationships across Filling Operations, Yogurt Process, Fruit, Engineering, Site Operations, Quality, Health & Safety, Senior Operators and Manufacturing Leaders.
