We are recruiting for Operatives to join our Lantmännen Unibake team in our Milton Keynes bakery food manufacturing site.

This is what you need to succeed:

  • General understanding of food manufacturing practices
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Understanding of importance of Health and Safety and Food Safety in the workplace
  • Production experience (ideally within food manufacturing) where performing repetitive tasks and having challenging technical demands go hand in hand
  • Ability to follow strict operating parameters and procedures
  • Ability to contribute to problem solving, process optimization and continuous improvement activities and seven wastes
  • Ability to maintain focus and drive when dealing with fast paced and repetitive tasks
  • Flexible ‘can do’ attitude
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Good level of personal hygiene
  • Hard working and dedicated
  • Motivated and enthusiastic with a desire to learn
  • High customer focus
  • Good attention to details

Pay rate:

With an average hourly rate of £12.32 rising to £12.78 as your skill level improves. Day shift salary starting from £10.93 per hour, night shift salary £13.66 per hour. Our Operatives earn between £495.00 and £514.00 per week! There is plenty of overtime available starting at £16.40 per hour.

Shift pattern:
We operate a continental shift pattern with 7 days off in every 14-day cycle. We are a 24/7 operating bakery, 12-hour shifts covering days/nights and weekdays/weekends, on a two-week Rota. Shift patterns are 4 days on, 3 days off, 3 days on, 4 days off. Shifts start times are 6am and 6pm.
