Image Data Group are a family run business with sites in Willerby (Hull), Howden & Brighton, operating at the forefront of marketing communications & providing print solutions/products since 1989. We deliver innovative visual communications for the UK’s leading retailers & corporations from banners, tension-fabric light boxes to presentation brochure packs & office stationary.
This Production Operative role is based in Howden (DN14 7SE) & is a key role for our business as you will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a age related salary, enhanced holiday entitlement, free on site parking, cycle to work scheme, employee support program, Company pension and the chance to be part of a family business that values their team members so you are not just a number!
You will be working on an alternate shift basis 1) Monday to Thursday 6am - 2pm Friday 6am to 1.10pm alternating with 2) 2pm to 10pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 1pm to 8.10pm (shifts may change in line with business needs) with additional hours working evenings/weekends are available when business demands.
As our Production Operative, you will be trained in different areas of the finishing department starting from the pick & pack training (our finishing team provide the secure & detailed finishing our customers demand), with the possibility to move on to manual and/or mechanical finishing (time & ability allowing).
Main Function:
- To prepare finished products ready for despatch.
- To carry out support activities to enable operators to maintain and maximise production output.
Key Performance Tasks:
- Check, finish and package goods in accordance with company and customer procedures to ensure compliance with working practices & standards.
- To assemble and label boxes ready for despatch in accordance with agreed timescales and customer requirements.
- Stitching lightweight material.
- Small hand finishing work – eye for detail.
- Carry out assigned activities within agreed timescales to ensure targets and deadlines are achieved.
- Be cost conscious with a view to maximising production and minimising waste.
- Ensure all areas of the factory remain clean and tidy at all times.
- To ensure all stock is returned to the warehouse to be added to stock report, on completion of work.
- It is the responsibility of all employees to comply with Health and Safety Legislation and Company Policy. This involves maintaining safe working conditions (including equipment), drawing attention to hazards and to taking reasonable care of themselves and others. You must ensure that all necessary safety devices and protective equipment are used at all times.
- To ensure all documentation is completed accurately so that accurate records are available at all times for traceability purposes.
- Perform other duties that reasonably correspond to the general requirements of the post and are appropriate with its level of responsibility, in order to contribute to the overall success of the Company.
- Ensure compliance with the Quality and Security Policies and Procedures (see attached documents).
Performance Indicators /Targets:

- Packaging materials are available and prepared to meet the requirements of production output.
- Finished products are packed to meet specified requirements and quality standards.
- General cleanliness / tidiness of all areas.

- Ability to undertake detail work in stitching/finishing formats using appropriate equipment.
