Job description
The Production Operative role is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing organisation and become a valued member of a small and conscientious team. The production facility employs both mechanical and manual methods of manufacture in the production of our range of protective packaging which includes transit cases and engineered parts in semi-rigid foams. As a Production Operative you will be required, after a period of training and product familiarisation, to operate across all aspects of manufacturing to a high standard of workmanship and self-management.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Operations Manager, your role will involve the following activities:
- The safe and efficient operation of factory machinery once trained and assess as being competent.
- The safe, competent, and responsible handling and use of hand tools during the production process.
- The ability to read and understand basic information from drawings and specifications (training will be provided).
- To accurately complete production documentation relating to works orders.
- The ability to complete jobs on time to the required standard.
- Be able to work on your own or as part of a cell team to complete works orders on time.
- This is a busy role in a fast-paced environment that requires manual dexterity.

- Manual dexterity
- The ability to follow correct procedure and process.
- An ability to read and understand English.
Experience on the following machines / areas could be advantageous:
- The ability to read, understand and discuss technical drawings (training provided to successful candidate).

Salary: From £10.00 per hour
