Location: Ilchester, Somerset
Job Role: PRODUCTION OPERATIVES
Hours: Rotation 05.00 to 15.00 / 15.00 to 01.00 (MONDAY to THURSDAY)
Hourly Salary: £10.50 per hour plus fantastic overtime rates, pay uplift once fully trained (circa 3 months, £11.19ph)

gap personnel are currently recruiting for Production Operatives for our new client based in Ilchester Somerset.
You will be joining a company with nearly 60 years of product experience and development, supplying their product to all of the UK’s leading supermarkets. Full training will be provided for this role, alongside additional support to ensure you are able to complete your duties competently at all times. The site boasts modern facilities with investment made in automated machinery and great benefits for their employees.
The role will consist of working in various departments where you will be responsible for:
- Working on a production line
- Weighing and moving ingredients and lifting heavy vats of food mix
- End of line duties to include palletizing, shrink wrapping and labelling
- Quality control checks of products for defects, damage, mislabelled, metal detection
The shift and pay rates are:
- Monday to Thursday, 5am – 3pm / 3pm – 1am (rotational)
- Basic Rate - £10.50ph / Overtime Rate - £21.00ph
- Pay uplift to £11.19ph basic rate after approximately 3 months or once fully trained
- Full-time hours over 4 days
