PRODUCTION OPERATIVE - British Airways Maintenance Cardiff
Role Purpose To support production staff with hangar movements and cleaning tasks
Scope Working as part of a team to deliver the maintenance tasks on time
Accountabilities
- Maintain a safe working environment through adherence to quality, health and safety and housekeeping standards.
- Responsible for husbandry of the hangar and all workshop areas.
- Safe use and operation of the hangar and workshop equipment • Responsible for own efficiency and performance.
- Responsible for aircraft and component cleaning.
- Responsible for moving aircraft components and maintenance equipment around the facility to meet Production requirements.
- Lobo/Plasma trained for work platform erection.
- Carries out other duties within their competencies as required by the Team Leader once trained in the specific task

Skills/Capabilities
- Good PC skills.
- Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

Qualifications/Experience
- Working in a large scale production environment (preferred)
- Able to use electrical ground equipment
- Lobo / Plasma platform erection trained
- Fork lift Driver training.
Salary £20,089pa plus shift allowance £2,142pa (4x4 Days) or £7,418pa (4x4 Nights)
