Job description
We are recruiting for a very busy client based in Oldham (OL9) Hollinwood who are looking for experienced production operatives to join their team on a temp to perm basis after completing a 12-week period.
Role & Responsibilities:
To test, clean then pack a range of consumer and/or IT related products to the required standard set by each customer.
- Be responsible for the test, cleaning and packing of several product types and ensuring they meet the customers criteria
- Be capable of testing any product covered by a local work instruction
- Clean all items in a timely manner ensuring all accessories and instructions are present to work instructions and grading criteria
- Carry out a final inspection of each product to ensure that it meets customer requirements
- Ensure that all relevant labels are attached to each unit and box and palletised correctly and safely
- Achieve the set targets in all areas of work e.g. turnaround, productivity KPI's and customer expectations
- Update the BOSS repair tracking system with information on the work carried out and parts used
- Maintain the accessories location in a clean and structured manner to assist all clean and packers
- Any SMS/BMS updates must be read and any issues raised to your Team Leader or the IT/Quality Manager
- Be aware of and work to all health and safety procedures and highlight any issues
- Any other reasonable tasks as requested by a Support/Engineer Grade 2, Team Leader or Manager
Position requirements:
- General good level of common sense, versatility and experience of handling and packing consumer/IT type products.
- Ability to lift heavy items
- Have a responsible attitude towards the quality of their work
- To be able to work without constant supervision
Hours
- 2 Shifts available
- 6:30am/3:30pm or 7:30am/4:30pm
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 weeks
Salary: £10.42 per hour
