AMTE Power plc has a manufacturing plant in the far north coastal town of Thurso, Scotland and a technology development site in Milton, Oxford. Our business has been trading since 1997 and is a recognised brand in the production of high-quality lithium-ion batteries across a range of markets including automotive, aerospace and energy storage. The business has traditionally supplied both lithium cobalt oxide and lithium manganese oxide cells which can endure in the toughest environments and meet exacting standards.

We are going through an exciting period of rapid growth and are now looking for five Production Operators to help us ramp up production at our Thurso Plant.

The Production Operator will report to the Production Manager and is responsible for operating related production machines.

Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures as well as legislative requirements including Health and Safety.
  • Ensure appropriate use of PPE at all times.
  • Operating production equipment in line with company policies and processes.
  • Identify process improvements.
  • Meeting or exceeding production targets in relation to output and quality.
  • Signing off and completing Work Orders in line with Build Instructions to time and quality.
  • Achieving planned KPI targets.
  • Monitoring, recording, and achieving machine hourly / daily targets.
  • Diagnosing and fixing ad-hoc problems with the production equipment.
  • Supporting the management team with customer, contractor, and site visits as required.
  • Troubleshooting production-based challenges.
  • Assist with production reports.
  • Maintaining production-based records.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by embracing 5S principles.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products desirable.
  • Basic engineering training highly desirable.

  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Team Player.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and guidance once trained on assignments.
  • Strong willingness to learn new tasks and procedures.
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work shift and overtime to support the needs of the business when required.
