Job description
James Wellesley are a London based high-end joinery company specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke interior joinery for London’s most luxurious residences.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Reporting to the MD, accountable for all workshop and installation operations ensuring all works are delivered on time, within budget and quality standards met.
- Lead, manage and accountable for all production operations including – Machining, Assembly,
- Finishing, Wrap and Pack and Installation
- Lead weekly production meetings
- Scheduling and management of all project work orders through workshop departments and installation ensuring project timings and budgets are met
- Management of workshop scheduling sof tware ensuring accurate s tatus of all production and installation work orders
- Preparation of production status and throughput reports
- Quality control of all work orders as they move through the production and installation process
- Support project managers with programming of projects and scheduling of workorders
- Accountable for all workshop and site based health and safety, ensuring adequate training of all staff, SSOW are followed, and all operations are carried out within HSE regulations
- Workshop maintenance, including creating and maintaining workshop machinery and plant maintenance schedules ensuring LOLER and PUWER regulations are met
- Management of workshop inventory, maintaining stock levels to ensure production output is optimised
- Overseeing identif ication of project specif ic material requirements, ensuring materials are ordered in advance and delivered prior to commencing production
- Develop and establish operational systems and processes to optimise workshop production and maximise throughput ensuring the highest standard of quality control
- Workshop and installation resource management, arranging new hires and contract workers where and when required
Requirements:
- Experienced in joinery workshop operations
- Sound knowledge of fabrication and finishing procedures with a wide understanding of joinery materials including timber, boards, veneers, laminates, and hardware
- Commercial awareness is essential, including a good understanding of project budgets
- Conf ident with IT systems and use of digital production management sof tware
- Experienced in managing, developing and building effective teams
- Strong management and communication skills
- A keen eye and attention to detail
- Excellent organisational ability
- Highly motivated
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £60,000.00-£70,000.00 per year

- No weekends
