Job description
A well-established powder coating company is currently looking to recruit a permanent Production Manager who will be responsible for the organisation and control of all production activities within the factory to ensure that labour is optimised, and production output is maximised. The successful individual with over-see all output targets and KPI’s in terms of quantity, quality, people management and exceeding our customers’ expectations, also ensuring all production is conducted in accordance with health and safety standards. Previous managerial/supervisory experience preferably in a manufacturing or engineering sector is essential.
Main duties include:
- Ensuring production plans and schedules are met
- Managing all day-to-day production operations, timescales and schedules are met
- Developing and mentoring supervisory and production employees
- Identifying project and resource requirements
- Working with the Supervisors to ensure effective utilisation of labour
- Monitoring employee productivity levels
- Ensuring factory production control procedures are followed including all necessary reporting
- Ensuring all quality control standards and health and safety regulations are met
- Reviewing production processes for their effectiveness and delivering continual improvements
- Developing Team Working environment
- Actively promoting all company rules and policies
- Ensuring proper storage and management of materials
- 40-hour contract
- 5-days working week
