Team overview:
Post Production provides editing, colour grading, audio services for all of Sky’s Content Creation teams - Sport, Sports News, Creative, News, and Entertainment; we also provide our services to Independent Production Houses.
What you'll do:
The Team Manager will focus on people and performance management, working alongside the Lead Editor to deliver appropriate training and development, maintaining high levels of morale and engagement of a team of 15 Edit, Audio and User Support Teams.
Whilst some knowledge of Post Production/Editing/Finishing would be of interest, having technical knowledge in this area is not required due the role soley focussing on people management.
- Ensure a continuing and consistent culture of performance management
- establish an environment of coaching and feedback, through regular 121’s and 360° feedback
- Undertake meaningful and productive performance reviews for all your team
- Continual focus on team engagement with success measured through People Survey results
- Effective communication with team members, and all areas of Post Production, to ensure that clear direction, expectations, and relevant information is delivered and understood
- ensure departmental resource management is aligned across all genres and client groups
- Ensure Edit, Audio and User Support teams deliver the highest possible service and products to clients/stakeholders, delivering the highest possible Client experience
What you'll bring:
- Demonstrable team management experience (post production experience not essential)
- Experience of developing individuals
- Ability to get the best from a team
- Excellent people management and client-facing skills
- Experience of goal setting using formal methods such as appraisal/PDP's
- Good organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills
