Team overview:
Post Production provides editing, colour grading, audio services for all of Sky’s Content Creation teams - Sport, Sports News, Creative, News, and Entertainment; we also provide our services to Independent Production Houses.
What you'll do:
The Team Manager will focus on people and performance management, working alongside the Lead Editor to deliver appropriate training and development, maintaining high levels of morale and engagement of a team of 15 Edit, Audio and User Support Teams.
Whilst some knowledge of Post Production/Editing/Finishing would be of interest, having technical knowledge in this area is not required due the role soley focussing on people management.
Ensure a continuing and consistent culture of performance management
establish an environment of coaching and feedback, through regular 121’s and 360° feedback
Undertake meaningful and productive performance reviews for all your team
Continual focus on team engagement with success measured through People Survey results
Effective communication with team members, and all areas of Post Production, to ensure that clear direction, expectations, and relevant information is delivered and understood
ensure departmental resource management is aligned across all genres and client groups
Ensure Edit, Audio and User Support teams deliver the highest possible service and products to clients/stakeholders, delivering the highest possible Client experience
What you'll bring:
Demonstrable team management experience (post production experience not essential)
Experience of developing individuals
Ability to get the best from a team
Excellent people management and client-facing skills
Experience of goal setting using formal methods such as appraisal/PDP's
Good organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills

Your office base: Osterley
