Job description

We are looking to form a team that can help us with day shifts and also for a later night shift, timings would be for:

Daytime Shift: 07h30am - 17h00 pm or 08h00am - 17h30pm

Night Shift: 17h00pm - 01h00am or 17h30 - 01h30 am

The primary role of a factory operative at our factory is to participate in the process of potato and vegetable crisps and snack manufacture. Under the direction of the Factory and Production Manager the following responsibilities and tasks will be expected to be fulfilled at all times. Previous experience within a Food Production Manufacturing facility is very important. Job accountably: Produce potato, vegetable and extruded snacks in accordance with the policies and procedures of the business, using the equipment provided. At all times be aware of their own personal safety and make use of the correct PPE provided where required. To maintain the hygiene of the area of work to the highest standards. Adhere to the company’s policies on hygiene, Food safety & Quality. Maintain clear communication between Low Care, High Care and Packing. Complete production to plan and to prepare for the following production schedule. Monitoring the condition of any equipment or ingredient faults that could impact on the functioning of the factory and report to the Production Manager. Place an emphasis on food safety and quality by monitoring the Critical and Quality Control Points relating to the process they are performing, alert instantly the Production Manager in case of failure. Complete all relevant paperwork on time and correct. Pick stock. Be prepared to undertake training required by the company for fulfilment of their role and development. Be willing to work with the whole factory team where necessary to achieve the company’s goals. To provide support and cover as appropriate in the absence of members of the factory team. Alert the production manager to any problems, which may impact on their ability to carry out their duties. Participate in training events and take responsibility for self-learning. Adhere to company policies and procedures ensuring appropriate standards of food safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times. Clean as you go policy. To ensure targets are met set by the production manager, efficiency, yield & waste. Undertake any instructions or duties which are reasonable requested by the Production manager Adhere to the spirit as well as the letter of the Company’s policies, particularly with regard to maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Salary: £12.00-£18.00 per hour
