Production Manager – Drink’s Manufacturing
Refresco UK, Bridgwater, Somerset (just off J23 of the M5)

Refresco the world’s leading independent soft drinks manufacturer seeks an agile, organised and dynamic, Production Manager to join our team at Refresco Bridgwater, Somerset (just off J23 of the M5). This is a key leadership role within the factory operations team, a role model for our colleagues, focused on delivery of critical operational KPI's.
Refresco Bridgwater is one of the largest and most progressive drink's manufacturing sites globally. Here are some stats for you -158,000 square metres, 4 factories, a large warehouse and transport facility under one roof, the latest, leading edge engineering technology producing 800 million litres per annum of soft drinks for our many own label and contract manufacturing customers from 28 production lines. In addition, we have high value ongoing CAPEX investment projects for implementation at the site throughout 2023.

About the Role
As Production Manager you will lead a large team including Shift Managers as direct reports who work on a 24/7 shift pattern, 12-hour shifts, 4 on 4 off.
You will have a good idea of the main duties and tasks involved as you will already be working in manufacturing, but to be clear here are some of the main responsibilities of the Production Manager role:
- Lead your team to deliver against operational KPI’s including customer service, OEE optimisation, health & safety and quality.
- Lead your team to improve and develop in all aspects of operational excellence via the application of continuous improvement techniques and to acive personal and team objectives.
- Drive up employee engagement and act as role model for Refresco company values.
- Take ownership and responsibility of all aspects of production for your shift teams.
- Take full accountability for the management of agreed budgets specific to your area of control (labour and materials).
- Work with forecasting and planning teams on site and centrally to agree, review, challenge the production plans.
- Ensure SOP’s are up to date, fit for purpose and trained/briefed to your teams.
- Ensure that you and your team are always audit ready and in compliance with site quality management system.
- Drive health and safety best practice in your areas of responsibility and manage and coach your team so that HSE principles are always complied with.
- Build strong and positive working relationships cross functionally with all colleagues across the site and with key stakeholders in central head office functions.
About You
You will have experience working within manufacturing, and managing, leading and motivating a team within FMCG Manufacturing, ideally food or drinks. You will have an in-depth knowledge of production processes, and a proven record of meeting targets and improving performance, through continuous improvement methodology. You will also have a good knowledge of quality systems and a passion for ensuring quality standards are met and maintained, plus a very good record on health and safety with up to date practical knowledge applied in a manufacturing environment.
Of course, you will need to have great communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to build strong working relations at all levels and with key stakeholders.

The working week is 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The salary for this role is dependent on experience.
