As we enter our next phase of growth and expand our Lifestyle offering, we are looking for a Buying and Sourcing Manager for our Lifestyle Category. Working within our Lifestyle Category team, and working cross-functionally with our Supply Chain team, you’ll manage the buying, sourcing and production of our Lifestyle products.
THE ROLE:
- Deliver the supply chain and product sourcing operating model for the Lifestyle Category, that optimises quality, speed to market, margin and working capital and is within our brand Supply Chain and sustainability framework.
- Negotiating contracts and terms including prices, quantities, delivery lead times, ordering cycle, working closely with the Category Lead on management of the Critical Path.
- Manage the procurement and quality assurance of raw materials needed for the Lifestyle collection (supplier nominated fabrics).
- Manage the raising of purchase orders in line with the buy plan.
- Manage the production and quality assurance of the buy, solving ad hoc challenges to ensure we maintain our commercial launch schedule.
- Identifying needs for future & current vendor partners, work alongside the Sourcing team to assess inline with business needs and brand sourcing policies.
- Travel to global suppliers as needed.
THE CANDIDATE:
Candidates may possess the following skills. We're open to a wide variety of backgrounds and skill sets which may fulfil the requirements in a similar way.
- Approximately 5 years experience in a similar role, preferably within the fashion or sportswear Lifestyle industry within a sourcing / production / supply chain role.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and able to work with sizeable amounts of data and learning various types of systems.
- Proactive, dynamic interpersonal style, able to act between different departments in a diplomatic, non-confrontational manner.
- Equally comfortable working autonomously & responding to instructions.
- An understanding of, or a desire to learn about the Rapha product range.
