Production Team Leader
Salary :£27,950 to £32,500 (Permanent, full-time position)
Location : Haverthwaite, Ulverston, South Cumbria

Hours of work: – Mon to Thurs 7.30am – 4.30pm, Fri 7.30am – 12.45pm (38 hours per week)

We have an exciting opportunity with a vacancy for a Production Team Leader of our Timber, Joinery and Ropes area.
The Role
- Leading a team of 8 people producing Timber components, assemblies and ropework.
- Reporting to the Production Manager on output and efficiency performance.
- Promoting and setting safety, quality and housekeeping standards.
- Managing a busy schedule and setting priorities within the team with a strong focus around ‘right first time’ and ‘on time in full’.
- Ensuring routine maintenance of plant and equipment is carried out effectively.
- Driving a positive KPI culture with a focus on Team and continuous improvement.
- Supporting and developing the team to help them grow and achieve results.
The Person
- Experience of leading and developing a team.
- Experience of or strong understanding of machinery and processes.
- A good understanding of Lean manufacturing with a strong desire to drive improvement.
- Strong communication skills
- Highly organised and results driven
- Good IT skills
- Positive and flexible attitude and prepared to go the extra mile
