EXCITING OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN, FROM THE END OF JULY, A NEWLY OPENED MANUFACTURING SITE SUPPLYING ALL THE MAJOR RETAILERS WITH DISPOSABLE PAPER PRODUCTS.
Northwood Consuma Tissue (NCT) Ltd are expanding to Ellesmere Port and opening a new manufacturing site to continue to make their disposable paper products for all the major retailers. NCT are established in their field for more than 40 years, making retailers household products. NCT main site is just outside Grantham and Ellesmere Port will be joining the 'family'.
NCT is looking for a experienced Production Manager to our manufacturing plant.
This will be a predominantly day role, Monday-Friday but the successful candidate will have their team working 4 on 4 off, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, so flexibility is a must in this role.
The main duties include;
The Production Manager is responsible for all the manufacturing-related activities in the factory.
Primary duties include coordinating and controlling all the steps in the production process to ensure products are delivered on time and within budget to the required quality standard.
This key role will encompass responsibility for meeting and exceeding production output targets in line with customer and business expectations across all shifts.
This role is pivotal in ensuring all production shifts perform to their optimum levels.
Responsible for managing multiple shifts with large numbers of products and employees with effective prioritisation to ensure that key objectives are always met.
Developing standardisation between shifts is key to the business success and the success of this role.
Provide respect and motivation as it is an important driver for the business and will be expected.
Understanding, analysing, and presenting production data relating to machines, materials, manpower and methods will be essential in guiding the business to make key decisions in moving forwarding in a cost-efficient way.
To be successful, we are looking for a Production Manager who can demonstrate their experience and skills on their CV and at interview on the following areas;
- Experience of managing a multi-line production facility
- Proven track record of managing high-volume fast-moving consumer goods production lines, advantageous to have experience of making for retailers
- Knowledge of manufacturing related activities specifically cost control, safety, and quality
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools and techniques
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
- Knowledge of Microsoft ERP systems such as Business Central
