Job description
Nature’s Touch is looking for a Production Supervisor with food processing knowledge to join our team in Abbotsford B.C. The successful candidate will have 5+ years experience in food production manufacturing with an understanding of manufacturing regulations regarding safety, sanitation, quality and GMP’s. The candidate will also have strong interpersonal, communication, and team building skills. The key responsibilities will be to supervise production crews and cultivate a positive, Customer centric and innovative work environment and ensure adherence to Nature’s Touch policies, procedures and practices.
Qualifications:
· University Degree Preferred but not required
· 5+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment
· Supervisor/Leadership Training would be an asset
· Experience working with sanitation and HACCP programs.
- Proven ability to define performance measures related to the business and hold associates accountable for the same.
- Ability to analyze cost performance data to improve operations and reduce costs.
· Identify, evaluate, control and prevent hazards at all stages of the food production process
· Ability to coach and lead work teams to achieve performance, quality, cost and service goals
Responsibilities:
- Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
- Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility.
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units
· Supervise, co-ordinate and direct (and possibly review) activities of workers
· Accurately troubleshoot processing system issues
· Identify quality issues and make adjustments to correct issues
- Ensure adherence to Nature’s Touch policies, procedures and practices.
- Administrative duties related to production, shipping and quality performance.
- Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
- Resolve work problems to improve the work environment to increase productivity
