We are Cornwall’s original soft drinks company, proud to be manufacturing Jolly’s Drinks – first established in 1896. We expanded from a small manufacturing operation to now distributing drinks to various customers within the region. We produce our own products and co-pack for customers nationwide.

About the Post
This is a full-time permanent position and is based in East Cornwall. The post requires the good practice of planning, directing, executing and leading as well as coordinating the tasks within the supply chain. The post of Production Manager will report to the Managing Director and Director of the company on a regular basis to ensure the effectiveness of the supply chain.
The post requires the demonstration of leadership and coaching of people from different teams within the supply chain, to ensure the key practices from innovation to quality products delivered to our customers. The post includes key tasks within the supply chain including but not limited to, planning for and responding to the demand for the production of new and existing products, including the procurement, storage and movement of raw materials. The execution and direction of the production and quality control of goods, including, testing, packaging, labelling, storing and ensuring the process complies with relevant legislation and regulatory standards.
The post holder will oversee the distribution and the transportation of goods being delivered to the customers. The post involves enhancing our competitive advantage with the good practice of combining science and art to produce quality tasting products using a combination of raw materials in line with soft drinks manufacturing regulations. The post requires initiative and self-judgement to be applied in decision making, problem solving and keeping industry knowledge and professional development current.
The post is a fast moving consumer goods role and it is essential that attention detail and excellent communication with relevant people involved in the supply chain is applied on a daily basis.
About the Person
We are looking for a profession person with the technical capability to oversee the running of a canning line. You will have an in dept knowledge on IT systems, including SAP. You will hold the minimum Level 3 Award in Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points for Food Manufacturing (HACCAPL3), Food Safety in Soft Drinks Today (FSSDT). Salsa Accreditation experience essential. Other qualifications desirable but not essential include; Introduction to Basic Microbiology in soft Drinks Manufacture (IBM), Levels 1-4 Awards in Food Safety in Manufacturing; Levels 1,2 & 4 Awards in HACCAP for Food Manufacturing. Level 2 Health and Safety. Knowledge of bonded warehouse procedures would be an advantage.
The individual should be someone who is reliable, energetic and has the drive and determination to support the company’s daily targets, demands and challenges as well as meeting their own goals within the role. You should be self-motivated to plan and organise your day and fulfil your key tasks and responsibilities to the highest of standard.
You are someone who has experience and has worked to a high standard in a similar FMCG manufacturing environment, are able to demonstrate key attributes in planning, execution, directing, leading and coaching people involved on various tasks within the supply chain.
Someone who has a commercial understanding to meeting budgets and the use of resources is utilised effectively. Displaying the control and reduction of waste in production using raw materials and the usage of machinery.
Someone who is able to demonstrate they are able to make critical and competent decisions in a fast-paced environment, show accountability for the decisions made and are able to make decisions that will be benefit both the customer and company on an operations and financial level.
Someone who has a high standard of communication skills including verbal and written and can work as part of a team as well as on their own and is flexible in their approach to their work.
Someone who is able to build and retain relationships with existing and new team members. You must be able to show willingness to display a good understanding of the company’s operations, products and service for each department to enable effective support in these areas.
Someone who has the coaching ability to grow, develop and engage with people involved in the supply chain, whereby encouraging leadership is displayed.
You will also have an interest in your own personal development and aspire to develop and enhance your position within the company.

Salary: £28,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
