Banking and Payments Operations Senior Analyst
Douglas – Isle of Man
As a Barclays Banking and Payments Operations Senior Analyst, you will be working with teams in Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man provide an integral and specialized support function for both the Offshore Operations business and relationship colleagues across the three islands. For this role, you will ensure our customers’ offshore tax status is protected and agreed activities are managed within the relevant jurisdiction. Providing active support, ensuring all service levels, policies, procedures, risk, and governance are adhered to by the team.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. • Ensuring policy and procedure standards are applied to all aspects of any activity
- Taking full accountability for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all activities that they encounter
- Driving consistency by ensuring policies and procedures are being applied across all activities
- Communicating and interacting with Internal and external clients and colleagues on a daily basis
- Communicating clearly any findings and proposals to colleagues and Senior Management
- Guaranteeing that no substantive data integrity issues are found
• Proven experience within the financial services industry, preferably in Operations
- Fluency in English and first class written and verbal communication skills are a requirement of the position
- Demonstrating your ability to remain professional whilst working to tight deadlines
- Ability to work on their own initiative and remain calm under pressure
• Have a minimum of either five GCSEs (including English and Mathematics)
- Excellent level of computer literacy skills and have competent and proficient keyboard skills as these are both essential skills for this role
- Proven ability to manage all system, telephone, email referrals and escalations in relation to manual and online payments
- Demonstrating your ability to Investigate AML transaction alerts and handle Sanctions queries, applying curiosity when speaking with customers ensuring we do not tip them off
