JOB PURPOSE

The new position will take responsibility, under the supervision of the Operations Director and Head of Design, for the development of various product ranges consistent with the Duke + Dexter brand.
Organisational and problem-solving skills are key and will be at the forefront of this position. We are looking for a sharp personality who will own their role in a relaxed, entrepreneurial atmosphere.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role.

SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT

- Manage supplier communication, ensuring communication is timely and efficient.
- Continually assess supplier base, building strong relationships to deliver best price, quality product consistent with Duke + Dexter brand values, reliability and lead times.
- Feedback from suppliers to Operations and Design.
- Regular supplier visits for quality control and maintaining strong relationships.
- The ability to pivot and react to complications out of the business’ control.

CRITICAL PATH – PRODUCT BIBLE MANAGEMENT

- Seasonal set up of production critical path.
- Management of the critical path process to achieve delivery deadlines, taking appropriate actions to avoid delays.
- Problem solving any issues, informing and advising the Ops Director of any issues that will cause late deliveries.
- Implementation and updating of all aspects of product info into company systems.
- Full ownership of POs from creation to delivery.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

- Responsibility from design pack to delivery.
- A full ownership of margin analysis – ensuring all seasonal collections hit the required landed margins.
- Management of labelling and packaging BOMs.
- Sample management.
- Management of the wear testing process.
- Fit and risk assessment on products.
- Souring and technical knowledge of materials eg. fabrics and swatches.
- Management of wholesale production schedules, including sampling, showrooms and bulk.

ABOUT YOU

- Competent Shopify user
- Strong analytical skillset
- Proficient in Excel
- Self-motivated
- Fashion experience, preferably in footwear
- Experienced with ERPs and PIMs
- The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Strong presentation skills & clear communicator
- Problem solver
