We supply to major organisations from a range of industries including food, pharmaceuticals and retail. Our business has grown significantly leading to investment in new machinery and expansion to a second site.
Production Supervisor Role
Duties:
- Oversee and coordinate daily production activities to ensure efficient and timely operations
- Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to meet production targets
- Train and supervise production staff, providing guidance and support as necessary
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations and conducting regular inspections
- Collaborate with other departments, such as quality control and maintenance, to resolve any production issues
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure adequate supply of materials
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to maintain productivity and quality standards
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of production processes
- Forklift certification preferred
- Basic math skills for inventory management and production calculations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
