Production Manager
A fantastic role has become available with an organic certified, broth, soup and meal manufacturer based in West London. All products produced are of the highest quality and are sourced from high welfare farms across the UK.
The company is looking to recruit a new Production Manager to manage an expanding team as we increase production over the next few months.
This role would be a great opportunity someone looking for responsibility, ownership, leadership and the chance to grow with a brand that is constantly expanding.
Overall Purpose of the Role:
To contribute towards the success of Borough Broth by managing the daily operations of the production and warehouse. Provides professional leadership and direction to production and warehouse personnel.
The role:
- Staff management - Lead, motivate, train
- Manage all immediate resources to help achieve required results (labour, materials and equipment)
- Provide a safe working environment, continually striving to improve safety standards
- Consistently complete records and paperwork
- Add value by implementing corrective and preventative actions
- Drive efficiencies, maximising on yield and minimising waste
- Develop a culture of continuous improvement
- Work closely with the Warehouse and operations team on sourcing and stock management
- Budgetary responsibility
What you will need:
- Experience working in food manufacturing, ideally with cheffing background or interest
- Experience or understanding of Soil Association Organic food production
- Proven track record of team management as managing and motivating a team is an essential requirement
- Enthusiasm for the role and keen to grow with the business
- Experience with meat production or similar would be ideal
- Detailed knowledge of all food safety and health/safety & environmental compliance requirements
- Experience in stock management and comfortable with some computer use i.e. emails, scanning, online ordering and digital document management.
- Demonstrable experience of maintaining SALSA and/or BRC accreditation
- Skills in growing out metrics to measure success across the production team
- Strong problem solver
- Focus on both quality and efficiency on all products produced
- Reliable, organised, responsible and systematic in approach
- Effectively manage resources to ensure the site is ‘Audit Ready’ at all times
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
