Production Machine Operator (Afternoon Shift) Pocklington, England
Job description
LMA is a family owned leading aerosol manufacturer based near York and is looking to fill the role of Production Machine & Line Operator. The role features a variety of responsibilities and offers the chance to progress as the company grows.
Applicants must have a good understanding of the English language and be able to read, write and communicate well. A basic understanding of maths is essential, as is an ability to use computers. Previous experience of operating machinery and/or working in a factory environment would be useful.
The role will include set up and operation of the machinery, including rotary product fillers, gassing equipment, testing and verification machinery and finishing machines. You will be taught how to use the machinery and will be responsible for its performance and maintenance. The products you produce will be retailed internationally and great care should be taken to ensure you produce the best products to represent the company.
Understanding the way the machine works, and the solutions to issues or break downs is a key part of the job, as is ensuring the quality and volume of goods produced. You must able to manage and work with your team members. Health and safety is a fundamental in a factory handling flammable chemicals and gasses and you will be taught procedures at LMA that you will be expected to follow and maintain.

This job will work 14:00 - 22:30 once training has been completed.
