Job description
This role is Sunday to Thursday night, with Friday & Saturday off.
The hours will be 4pm-2am, although every now & again you may need to stay on for an hour if the orders are not complete.
We are based in Longridge & if you do not live locally, you will need to drive as there is no transport at 2am.
The Company
We are Ribble Farm, a thriving privately run foodservice business with over 50 years of history. We supply over 3000 products to a fantastic customer base that includes restaurants, hotels, schools, arenas and large sporting clubs. We are based just off the M6 in Longridge & distribution network spans across the north of England with pockets in the south.
We work with a number of local and international suppliers in order to make sure we source the finest products on the market, from basic fresh produce and dry goods up to the most exotic ingredients for our customers dishes’. Once received, they make their way through our multi-temperature supply chain to ensure the customer is receiving the highest quality of product available.
The Role
This role is newly created due to an operating model change.
We are looking for an production line leader to manage the end of our picking line. This person will play an integral role making sure our split orders are QC’d & processed correctly.
The day-to-day will involve:
· Taking responsibility for the end of the picking line.
· Managing a small team of 1-2 people who will be assisting.
· QC’ing the orders as they are taken off the picking line.
· Making sure each crate / box is labelled correctly as it is taken off.
· Stacking the pallets up correctly & making sure they are moved to their correct location.
What you Will Need?
This role will require experience in a warehouse, although food experience is not essential.
It is important that you have a pro-active nature, with strong organisational skills and good attention to detail.
You will ideally have;
· Experience of working on a production line.
· Experience in FMCG & Distribution Industries.
· A Passion for Management / Leading Processes.
· Developing staff.

The salary for this role is £10.42ph, with a £30 per night performance bonus based on picking errors.
