Peake Fruit is based in Ardleigh (Near Colchester) and is a World Class Grower, Packer and Supplier of quality fresh fruit. We are looking for a Production Line Leader to join our team.
This is a vital role, which is responsible for the management and performance of Peake Fruit’s packing services, whilst meeting the customer’s required hygiene and operational standards. Endlessly striving for better efficiency, hygiene and best practice to deliver a world-class fruit production facility.
Job Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Ensuring that all orders are correct and arrive at the destination on the expected delivery date
- Maximising efficiency and achieving individual and team targets
- Running the Line, ensuring that the correct packaging and procedure are being used
- Achieve budgeted efficiency targets and customer service targets as measured by: Customer feedback, Traceability and Site specifications.
- Manage the team’s time effectively
- Minimise the waste of fruit and packaging
- Be a point of contact for all customers’ packing requirements
- Maintain and improve BRC and food safety hygiene standards across the whole site
- Work efficiently as part of a team and have a ‘working towards the same goal’ attitude, being flexible and able to assist when needed
- Ensure 100% compliance for Food Hygiene, GDPR Legislation, Health and Safety, Environmental Health Legislation, Modern Slavery and HR policies and procedures

Fruit growing is 7 days a week and is seasonal in nature, so the successful candidate will be required to work flexibly around the needs of the business.
